Suits season 7 is about to drop, so what better time is there to get up close and personal with the show you love? Check out these little-known factoids from the cast and crew.
Ah, Mike Ross. The intensely brilliant, constantly surprising legal eagle we’ve grown to love over the past six seasons of the award-winning Universal series, Suits (M). Paired with the likes of cutthroat lawyer Harvey Specter, and it makes for sizzling (and often humorous) TV.
If you’ve waited to dive into a Suits bingefest, there’s no better time than now on Yes TV by Fetch, where you can buy episodes or seasons from the TV Store or catch it on the Universal Channel, which is available in the Variety or Ultimate Pack.
In celebration of the release of season 7 from July 13, we’ve dug up seven behind-the-scenes snippets that might have you looking at the show in a whole new way:
1. Patrick Adams (a.k.a. Mike Ross) filmed his first-ever ‘intimate scene’ as an actor on the set of Suits, and it took eight hours to shoot.
Those passionate, on-screen liaisons between Mike and Rachel (Meghan Markle) may look spur-of-the-moment, but it’s often a painstaking chore to shoot them.
Patrick Adams had never filmed sex scenes before starring in Suits, and was initially surprised at how long they took.
2. Most of the cast is obsessed with Game of Thrones, and two GoT actors appear in season 3 of Suits.
Just like the rest of planet Earth, the cast of Suits are said to be huge fans of the HBO mega-hit, Game of Thrones.
It is said that much of the cast and crew were very pleased to find two Game of Thrones actors joined them during season 3 of Suits – Conleth Hill (Lord Varys) and Michelle Fairley (Catelyn Stark).
3. Harvey Specter and his secretary Donna are real-life friends.
Ever thought while watching the show, ‘Gee, Harvey and Donna have amazing chemistry’? Well, they’ve had more than twenty years to practice. Gabriel Macht and Sarah Rafferty are close friends, and it was actually on Gabriel’s recommendation that Sarah won the role.
And yeah… they’ve both talked about how awkward it would be if their characters were to get romantic.
4. Louis Litt loves cats. Rick Hoffman does not.
Harvey Specter’s closest rival, Louis Litt, is an on-screen feline fanatic. His love of cats is often on display, yet actor Rick Hoffman is deathly allergic to them. There’s an inhaler and EpiPen on set at all times to control any flare-ups.
5. Gabriel Macht hates Harvey’s hairstyle.
Harvey Specter’s all-business slicked back ‘do is perfect for his bold, big-city lawyer character, but actor Gabriel Macht loathes it. He once referred to it as ‘Icky and crispy’.
6. Patrick Adams is responsible for Rachel’s office photography.
Have you ever spotted all that amazing photography in Rachel’s office? When Patrick Adams isn’t busy being Mike Ross, he is an accomplished photographer, and took most of those incredible photos.
His Instagram account is a must-follow.
7. Meghan Markle is currently dating Prince Harry.
It’s no surprise that the talented and beautiful Meghan Markle managed to snag one of the world’s most eligible bachelors in Prince Harry… and she recently accompanied him to Pippa Middleton’s wedding. Lucky!
